Before joining Hoxie & Associates LLC, Sangil worked as a research scientist for Bristol-Myers Squibb, helping to support clinical trials of an HIV-1 attachment inhibitor, and as a research scientist and post-doctoral fellow at Yale University, studying signaling and cell differentiation pathways in Drosophila. He has authored numerous scientific papers. Sangil is a registered patent agent, admitted to practice before the USPTO. Sangil received his Ph.D. in genetics from Yale University, and his M.S. and B.S., with high honors, both in microbiology, from Seoul National University (Korea).
